wma files and how to read micro disk

  1.  Downloaded audio books from the library are DRM-encrypted. This requires (on your player) Plays For Sure (MTP) mode. After switching to this mode in your Settings, it will return to the previous menu. This is what is is supposed to do. This is the USB mode. It will stay in this mode until you have occasion to manually change it again.
  2.  You cannot load DRM-encrypted files onto an SD card in this player, only the internal memory. With the newer models you can, but not this old of a player.
  3.  You cannot simply drag & drop DRM-encrypted files onto the player’s internal memory either. The “permission keys” that allow the file(s) to play do not get transferred that way.
  4.  In most cases (if not all) libraries use Overdrive software in order to transfer downloaded DRM content onto a portable player. Download and install this softwae from your library’s website and follow the directions for transferring your books to your player.
