My daughter’s e260 was put through the washing machine a couple of months ago, too. We took it apart & dried it as well and it did work …for a while. I was impressed that it did anything at all after a thorough soak in the washer! Oh, and that funky screen thing will get better over time, so don’t worry about it.
Anyway, I was looking through the forums today because my daughter’s has stopped working. It started by saying the battery was low (even after charging), so we ordered a new battery. That didn’t change anything. So…I am trying to decide what to do next. I put it in recovery mode, but it didn’t seem to do anything when I updated the firmware. Now I can’t get it to even come on at all. After reading some of the postings, I don’t know if this recent issue has anything to do with it getting wet. Did you find out anything about your warranty? Are these things like cell phones & have indicators in them that show if they have been wet or not?
