i just recieved a demo unit from a friend and am wondering is there a way to get it out of demo mode you cant listen to more then a half a song before it kicks back into videos

A unit in a retail store where you can “play” with it and see the demo program on the screen, but can’t really do anything else with it.

If a store is going to sell a demo unit or 'floor sample, they will take it out of demo mode first; otherwise you as a customer can’t do anything with it.
Are you sure this wasn’t stolen from a store?
