The View has a proprietary 30-pin connector so you will need to buy a new cable, regardless of whether you use an AC charger or a computer.
Luckily as mentioned, you can find these on Amazon. Also lucky is the fact that the same cable is used on the View, the c200 and e200 series players so they are much easier to search for (and find).
