I just purchased a new 8 gb clip zip but lost my software disc (or it was not in the box). I am already a rhapsody subscriber and authorized the new device but it won’t load music for me.
Never mind, I had to deauthorize and authorize my computer, everything seems fine now.
Do I need the software for anything else?
And for whatever it is worth, none of my Clips has come with a disk, as far as I recall (perhaps one from 5-6 years ago did, which I never used?).

There is a note in the included Rhapsody pamphlet that says:
Current Rhapsody members must install the included software before connecting their Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player to their PC
Anyways it is all working fine.
