Hey, getting the controller number will not help you, ChipGenius can’t get the chip on ALL (or some flash drive)
Launch CMD with _ Administative Privilages _>> Type Diskpart >> Select the disk you want to change the attributes,
_ Example : _
LIST DISK SELECT DISK 1 ATTRIB DISK CLEAR READONLY ATTRIB
The disk attrib from
Current Read-only State : Yes
Read-only : Yes
Boot Disk : No
Pagefile Disk : No
Hibernation File Disk : No
Crashdump Disk : No
Clustered Disk : No
To:
Current Read-only State : No
Read-only : No
Boot Disk : No
Pagefile Disk : No
Hibernation File Disk : No
Crashdump Disk : No
Clustered Disk : No
i did all that and nothing at all
Can you provide the CMD SS with every cmd task on diskpart
List disk
Select **DISK#**
Attrib disk
Google is your friend.

How to set it on, how to set it off.
BTW Interesting dates in the Copyright at the top of your image. You running Windows XP?
I replicated your case on my machine, even I can’t set the Current Read-Only state to Yes and Read-Only to no,
The command shall work above, double check it, here’s my CMD lines used
**BEFORE**
DISKPART\> attrib disk
Current Read-only State : No
Read-only : No
Boot Disk : No
Pagefile Disk : No
Hibernation File Disk : No
Crashdump Disk : No
Clustered Disk : No
DISKPART\> attrib disk set readonly
**AFTER**
DISKPART\> attrib disk
Current Read-only State : Yes
Read-only : Yes
Boot Disk : No
Pagefile Disk : No
Hibernation File Disk : No
Crashdump Disk : No
Clustered Disk : No
After I used Minitool Partition Wizard
DISKPART\> attrib disk
Current Read-only State : No
Read-only : No
Boot Disk : No
Pagefile Disk : No
Hibernation File Disk : No
Crashdump Disk : No
Clustered Disk : No
Maybe try Third-party partition softwares, or try gparted on linux
Don’t need MiniTool Part Wiz.
Diskpart’s attributes disk clear readonly
command works too according to the link I posted.
i did all that and nothing at all
even with GParted
can’t write to /dev/sdb , because it is opened read-only
Return it to SanDisk for a free replacement.
