USb scandisk cruzer blade 8gb lost almost all capacity

Hi there!

Got the same problem with my scandisk pen drive.

i needed to create a bootable image of ubuntu, and when i did PowerIso asked to format the pendrive. I said yes, installed ubuntus. All great.

Now one problem:  my scandisk went from having a 8gb capacity to 700 mb capacity. Also, it no longer has the exe and the capacity to add password protection.

So how can i format both pendrive to restore the 8gb capacity, and also restore its password protection property???

thanks in advance

Sounds like PowerISO made your USB stick into a CD, which are 700MB in size.  Check the PowerISO forums and see if they have a backout/restore option.

Refer to this post, may it help
