Sandisk Extreme 64GB Stuck on Optimize for Performance

When I first got my drive I reformatted to NTFS and switched from Optimize for Quick Removal to Optimize for Performance. I would like to switch back but when I try to change the policy I get an error: “windows could not change the write-caching setting for the device”. I am using Windows 7. Any help would be great on what I need to do to get back to Optimize for Quick Removal.

Hi, just to isolate the issue, have you tried this on another computer yet and see if it behaves the same?

Yes it stays optimize for performance no matter what computer I plug it into. I have also tried removing the driver through device manager and reinstalling. I also reformatted it a few times.

I also have this problem. If I try to revert it to quick removal, I get Windows could not change the setting, your device might not support it. But it was quick removal to begin with. Help?
