hey.

I’m trying to install windows from sandisk SDCZ52-008G usb flash but every time I boot to the usb I get grub rescue message

“error: unknonw filesystem” I formated the usb using nfts and fat32 but both didn’t work. I tried listing the (hd0) and (hd1) content using “ls (hd0)” in the grub rescue but I get “(hd0): unknown filesystem”. I tried other usb flash drive and it worked fine.

Hello,

as far as i know the Grub error message appears when the boot partition from a linux system is not available anymore. In that case you can boot with the flash drive so you have to ensure that in the boot manager the usb is first in the list and then when you boot into windows you open a command prompt Shift+F10 and type bootrec.exe /FixMbr press enter and then type bootrec.exe /FixBoot.

so you should get a message that the operation was sucessfull and you can again boot the pc with the disk normally

I think you need to make the disk bootable here. Have you checked that yet?
