Are there any files or folders on the pen drive?

Are you able to see Hidden files or olders with your Windows Explorer?

What operating system are you using?

Why do you want to format the pen drive?

1- only 1 corrupted folder in my pen drive…

2- no Hidden files in my pen drive…

3- i’m windos x.p are using

4- because of new deta will be transfer in pen drive…

“sir one think i,m clearing to you (i’m format the pen drive in locked mode)”

(i’m  not remove the SanDiskSecureAccess in format time)

that why it will be accurring this type of problem…

1a. Insert the pen drive.

1b. Open a Command Prompt window

1c. Enter the command:  attrib ?:*.* where ? is the drive letter of the pen drive

1d. RIGHT click on the top of the Command Prompt window and select Edit then Select All then press Enter.

… This will copy the text in the Command Prompt window to Windows’ Clipboard.

1e. In your reply here click on the Insert Code icon then press the Shift+Ins keys. (or Ctrl+V )

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>attrib a:*.*

Close but a: is not the drive letter of your pen drive.  Repeat the steps with your pen drive plugged in and it’s drive letter in the command.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>attrib j:*.*

After keying in the command you have to press Enter

You should see something like this:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\Users\Ed\>attrib J:\*.\* A H J:\BOOTLOG.PRV A H J:\BOOTLOG.TXT A R J:\COMMAND.COM A J:\AUTOEXEC.BAT A J:\CONFIG.SYS A SHR J:\IO.SYS A SHR J:\MSDOS.SYS A J:\PortableFirefox.lnk A J:\PStart.exe A J:\autorun.inf A J:\PStart.xml C:\Users\Ed\>

no sir

after enter “attrib J:*.*”

it’ shows the file not found - J:*.*

sir its shows the disk is write protected…

it’ shows the file not found - J:*.*

But you didn’t post that when I asked you to post the output of the Command Prompt window.

That error indicates either:

the pen drive is not plugged in,

J: is not the drive letter of the pen drive,

or there is no corrupt folder on it.

OK.  But what is the drive letter of the pen drive?  It’s obviously not J:.

Insert the pen drive then click on My Computer.  What letter is associated with the pen drive?

Removable Disk(j) is my san disk pen drive…

Please do a dir J:\ /s command instead.
