New Sandisk Not Reliable for Writing Audio Recordings

I’ve used SanDisk Flash Drives for years, namely the SanDisk Cruzer Switch, for plugging into sound desks, and they’ve always been reliable in writing the audio recordings from whole events onto the disk for using for video editing later.

I recently bought a SanDisk Cruzer Blade to replace my old Switch - made sure it was USB 2.0 as most sound mixers aren’t USB 3.0 - compatible yet.

After recording two events, and going to edit the sound both, I’ve found the audio skips and misses parts, saying every minute or so it skips a few seconds and basically rendered two events worth of video useless because I relied upon SanDisk to do a good and reliable job recording my sound.
