Cruzer 64GB not recognized on router USB port

One of my Cruzer 64GB units is not recognized on the USB port of my Netgear WNDR3400 router, but does seem to work fine on my computer’s USB ports. The other two Cruzer 64GB drives I have do work on that router’s USB port, as do all of my other USB flash drives. (The 64GB unit that is not recognized happens to be older than the other two.)

Reformatting the drive did not help.

Any ideas as to the problem I’m having ?

Thanks !

Hello! I just had this very issue you described! I have a Sandisk 64GB USB 3.0 flash drive and a Netgear  WNDR3400v2 router.  I bought a flash drive to use as a NAS between my home computers. However couldnt get it to work.

Long story short what i finally did was reformat as a NTFS instead of FATex. Sure enough it poped up and i can now use it as network storage. My guess is that flash drive wasnt formatted the same as the others you have. :)

I would suggest you change your Router’s IP address by using a VPN and try it again.
