32GB Cruzer Glide Suddenly Stopped Working

I have been using my 32GB Glide as a portable, bootable linux drive for a while now, and today, it suddenly stopped working. I did nothing I didn’t normally do, and I was very careful about bumping it. However, for some reason, it stopped working. I thought that it may have just been that one computer, so I plugged it into another one that I had used it on before. No luck there, either. I checked GParted on another Linux computer I have and Disk Utility on a Mac, and neither knew that I had even plugged anything in. I really need to fix the drive. Is there any way to fix it without spending any money to send it to a repair shop. I am prepared to re-solder bits, if necessary, if I can get beyond the outer shell, which I have no idea how to do. Another possibility that also just ran through my mind is that the drive may be fried, and if it is, how can I tell?

This could possibly be  a hardware issue. Have you checked with your reseller and see if you can avail with a replacement? <img src=“https://imagicon.info/cat/5-43/1.gif”/>

If so it won’t be readable in other Windows machines, or Linux machines or Macs.

That’s the bad news.  The good news is it may be replacable for free if it’s still under warrantee.
