256GB Ultra Flair USB 3.0 - difficulty transferring 9GB file to memory stick

I currently have used around 1% of the memory stick’s capacity.

I would like to transfer a 9.4GB .TAR file. However, when I attempt to do so, it suggests that the file is too large for the ‘destination file system’, despite there being around 233GB of space left.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance / advice anyone may be able to offer, in order to try to resolve this problem.

Did you reformat the drive?  The factory format for drives that size is exFAT and that format definitely supports files larger than 4GB.  What app are you using to copy the file?
