This is normal, as this is a high endurance (1.8 DWPD) server class SSD drive designed for mixed / high % write use vs normal consumer drives which are designed for read intensive use.
Being a server drive, it is also not really appropriate for notebook use as it is not designed to produce low power idle draw either. This type of drive is optimized for 24-7 continuous heavy random writes, not for consumer applications.
