SSD caught fire!

This SSD has a 3 year warranty so you should still be covered by the warranty. Also if you are looking for an official statement from sandisk contact their support. They will be able to take care of you. 

That said it looks to m that the source may have been the cable itself and not necessarily the SSD but it is hard to say from the pictures alone. Best advice is to contact sandisk support to get this sorted out.
