I have a Fuze and an extensive library on Windows Media Player. VERY happy with the Fuze.
My wife has gone and bought an Ipod Nano. Wives … what are ya gonna do … can’t live with 'em, can’t kill 'em.
Is there a way to transfer/sync my WMP library to the Nano?
If not to the Nano, how about copying/transfering my library to the Itunes library? Not my first choice, duplicating files on my computer taking up twice the space.
Can the Fuze sinc with Itunes library?
I can’t tell you about syncing the Fuze with Itunes, others have tried it so you’ll have to search.
Itunes will catalog your existing library without duplicating songs. Itunes and the Ipods now play common formats like mp3 and wma. Itunes will put them in the library without issue, almost. My Itunes tries to convert the files to native Ipod format but I always cancel the conversion. Add the folder with your music to the Itunes library. Itunes will start to convert the non-m4p files to m4p but cancel that. Itunes will then ask something else, answer yes (I forget the exact question). The second question is Itunes adding your existing library to its catalog.

iPods will certainly not play wma.
I’ll check tonight to see if Itunes is cataloging my wma files. If Ipods won’t play them then probably not. Maybe that’s what Itunes is trying to convert.

I think so, because iPods have always played mp3…that is the universal format.
You should try DuplicateFilesDeleter program
