Have WD my book essentials. Trying install win 8. Compatibily wizard says Initio Default Controller may not function after installation. Search internet and found this associated with WD usb drives. tried to find latest driver on WDsupport and it only listed firmware and software updates no drivers. Downloaded firmware and software. Wizard installer said I had latest firmware and installed software update. Win8 compatability still shows possible problem. Can lead me to latest driver for Initio Default Controller .
does it work correclty or not ?
Usually when Intio Controler is mentioned there is a problem with a circuit board. Send a PM to fzabkar he’s the only one with a real understanding of the circuit boards on these drives.
