I removed my WD Book World drive from its enclosure and put it into a SATA enclosure with a USB connection to my desk top. Tried formatting it and it didn’t finish. Now Windows 10 disk management can access it and goes into an eternal loop trying to load virtual devices. I loaded the data lifeguard utility to try a scan and it also goes into an eternal loop when I power the device on.
Device manager sees the device and says it’s working properly, But when I try to update drivers, it says the one loaded is the best one. Definitely a dilemma.
Tried accessing the drive from my Surface and no joy.
