Winamp does not recognise my Sansa Fuze

I just got it today and so wanted to put music on as you do.  However winamp does not recognise any portable devices and I dont want to use Windows Media Player

There must be something wrong so can someone tell me what it may be

Go to Settings/System Settings/USB Mode and change it to MSC. Open Winamp, connect it to the computer, and Winamp will give it a big wet kiss.

Of course, you don’t even need Winamp. MSC makes it work like a flash drive. You can drag-and-drop albums from anywhere on your computer into nearly any folder (not Audiobooks, Podcasts or TMP)  or a folder of your choice on the Fuze.
