I have a new WD mybook studio drive on my Mac running 10.9. I installed the WD software so I could change from RAID0 to RAID1. My drive seems to be working properly, but I get two WD icons and two drives are shown in Finder. One is MyBook and one is EFI. What is EFI and why is it there? Can I delete the WD software now that I have my drive set up as RAID1? MUST I delete the WD software to avoid data loss?
Update: I ran the WD software uninstaller once I noticed people with data loss problems were seeing two mounts, one called EFI and one called Mybook. Now that the software is gone, I only have one called Mybook.
