Hi I have ( maybe ) a stupid question. Why it can not play ogg format?! For me it seems pretty simple to make a device with a CPU and running a small piece of software to play ogg format. The only inconvenient that I see it is a market related one( If Sansa Express can do so many things why I should I buy another product that is more expensive ?! ).

It is certainly possible for Sandisk to develop firmware to support OGG format, they are doing so with the Clip & Fuze.
But, it is unlikely that Sandisk will provide it for the Express. It is doubtful that Sandisk will provide any additional firmware updates for the Express.

Are they finaly declaring it EoL and trying to pretend it never existed? I’d be about time…

It does appear that Sandisk has already moved on.
I did get a good laugh over your comments about the worst Sandisk players.
But, where do you put the Shaker and the Connect? (Though the Connect isn’t entirely Sandisk’s fault.)
