Why can’t my computer see or detect my USB drive when I plug it in?
It could be caused by a faulty USB port, cable/adapter, missing drivers, or a problem with the drive itself. Try another USB port or computer first. If you share the USB drive’s brand/model and describe what happens when you plug it in (any sound, light, or error message), we can narrow down the cause.

Try the drive in another USB port, preferably a port directly on the PC rather than a hub, and check whether it appears in Disk Management. If it shows there but has no drive letter, assigning one can make it visible in File Explorer. If it does not appear in Disk Management at all, try another cable or computer because that points more toward a hardware or connection problem.
