When I try to transfer files, a pop up says they are already in use. Also when I run Mac utility first aid, it says drive will not unmount. Trying to get these files off of the drive before trying to format. Any suggestions?

It happened to me too, but I was reckless and formatted.
Hope you resolved this without formatting or resetting the device.
