Hello, Iv just upgraded my sons old desktop with an ultra 3d 250gb I am getting read/write speeds of 239mb/s I also tried an ssd plus 480gb which is getting about the same speeds,I think I was getting about 136mb/s from the hhd.I was expecting to get a lot faster speeds or is that the speed to be expected on an old desktop running w10pro 32bit 4gb amd 9550 cpu, thanks
what SATA chipset is in the computer? if it is a SATA II 3Gb chipset the speed you are seeing is normal.
hello,it is a SATA II 3Gb chipset, is that something you can upgrade or is it parts of the motherboard, thanks
no, you would need a new motherboard.
OK thanks drlucky
SanDisk quotes the Ultra 3D with up to 560MB/s and 530MB/s in sequential read and writes speeds respectively (550MB/s and 525MB/s for the 250GB model) while random reads and writes throughput is expected to reach up to 95,000 IOPS and 84,000 IOPS, respectively.
