What benefits are there from registering my hard drives in WD website?

Hi,

I have purchased two new WD hard drives, one of them has 1 TB, and the other has 2TB.

I would like anyone tell me what benefits from registering my hard drives.

It will validate your purchase if you fave problems during the warranty period.

Thanks a lot,

But as you may know there is no representative for WD at my home county, nor retailer,  I’ve purchased these WD drives from a Merchant , who also purchased from Dubai. Thus, I think the warranty period will not be beneficial at all.
