Western digital PASSWORd

Good evenning,

please l have a problem with my external hard drive  Western digital 1TB/To .

i bought this disk last week  and  configured a password to ensure safety of my disk. but now, when l try to put it , the software doesn’t recognise it .

l have read the " user guide " on page 40  which mention that it is possible to clear the disk , but when i tried the icon “i understand” is missing.

i don’t know how to do to use my disk or for the worse to format it .

Please help me !!!

Make sure the software is installed on your pc, if not it will not allow you to erase. You can run the unlock utility from Computer , once you enter the wrong password 5 times it will give you an option to erase, it will be grayed out if the software is not installed on the computer.
