I emailed WD support and they are offering me a booster cable and want me to provide an address… Is this normal and will the booster cable work for my passport essetial SE??

Also, would it be free?

I requested a booster cable in the past; it’s free the first time.

Just remember that the booster cable looks like a “Y”, that means that you need 2 side-by-side USB ports to use it.
