If you are just copying and pasting via MSC I don’t know how that is happening. MSC is just like moving files around within your computer, and the Clip certainly isn’t smart enough to change anything. Humor me and make sure it is really set to MSC.
In Windows Explorer, are you looking at the actual files in your library and in your Clip? Not how they are listed in JRiver or on the Clip display, but the actual filenames. You should be able to see them on the Clip display by clicking all the way down the Music menu to Folders, or look at them in Windows Explorer.
