WDS500G2B0B - Windows 10 asks for drivers!

I have this set as my boot drive and as far as i can tell all the Bios settings are correct, but when I try to install windows it says “A media driver your computer needs is missing This could be a USB, DVD or Hard Disk driver. If you have a CD DVD or USB Flash drive on it please insert it now”

As the WDS500G2B0B is the only drive on the system apart from the USB with Windows, I don’t know what the problem is. I tried the drive in another machine and had the same trouble.

The drive can be seen in Bios.

Motherboard is Gigabyte B450M S2H and it’s an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Processor

Any ideas?

An old and returning Windows problem.
Has nothing to do with your WD SSD drive.

“A media driver your computer needs is missing” or “A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing” error message when you install Windows.
