I have a western digital portable hard drive I bought years ago. On my old desk top it worked fine but now it is showing up as an unknown device on my laptop(about 3 years old). When I go into its properties it has a code 43 message in the details box. All it will allow me to do is uninstall it and update drivers which it says my computer is up to date. Shows up in disk management but wont allow me to reformat. How can I make this hard drive usable again. No useful information on it so any kind of complete reboot or reformat would be great
