Normally, you can plug a memory stick into a USB socket and it appears immediately on Windows Explorer and you can access it straight away. You can also select “eject”, remove it from the USB socket and it disappears from Windows Explorer.
After installing my WD SSD drive with encryption, I can only make Windows 7 work with memory sticks by quitting and re-launching Windows Explorer, every time I plug in or eject a memory stick.
