WD SmartWare Won't Install on Mac OSX

Hello there,

I just bought the WD Passport for backing up purposes.  When I plugged it in, told my Mac’s time machine to use it, but then decided I wanted to use the SmartWare, but it won’t install.  I keep opening it up just to have it never launch.

I have deleted the original backup made by the time machine from the WDPassport and then installed the WD+Turbo installer, rebooted, and then again tried to launch the WD Smartware only to have it not launch.  I am really at a loss as to why it won’t run.

I have looked for answers on here but it seems that all the problems are related to Window users.  Any thoughts on how to get the WD Smartware to install?  I am really tired of the ‘Video 09’ staring at me.

I bought the My Passport Studio V2 640GB

If the WD Smartware on the drive doesn’t install try to install the version on the WD website to see if it’s works
