WD SmartWare asks for password, there isn't one!

I’m about ready to take this thing back to the store. I installed everything right, but when I click on the MyBookLive icon on the SmartWare it asks for a login when I didn’t even create one! I went into the dashboard and created one, logged in, and says authentication failed. I rebooted the computer, made sure everything was up to date, and even did a powercycle on the unit. I have spent 4 hours messing around with this thing and can’t get it to login.

UPDATE: I’m getting an error in the details of the authentication fail. The network location cannot be reached. Exception from HRESULT: 0x800704CF

Are you able to map the drive?

Check if the antivirus or Firewall is blocking the connection from Smartware to the drive.
