Hi, why would WD Security v1.1.0.51 keep on reporting “Authentication Failed” eventhough I entered a correct password? I updated it, but would only report that I’ve entered an Invalid Password, so I uninstalled it, and installed the v1.1.0.51 and my “Authentication Failed” problem began. Please help me.

Have you tried installing the app on another computer and try to unlock the drive?
I am having a similiar problem using a WD Passport Ultra Metal and I posted a question about it in the WD Portable Drive forum. In my case, I can unlock the drive with the utility that is on the virtual drive at is created by the drive, but I can not unlock or lock the drive using the installed tools. I also get “Authentication Failed” errors.
I am thinking this is a permissions issue, as every works great on my late model Dell Destop, but not on the laptops in our lab which have much more security on them.
I am hoping someone else has had this problem and figured out what to change on Win7 to get it to work.
