My wd passport 1 tb works fine on my netbook with win 8NL. But on my desktop with win 8.1Eng it is not recognized. In dismgmt 8.1 it is not listed. But the white led is flashing while starting and later steady and feeling the spin. Trying to format with rufus, rufus not recognizes the drive. Obviously a windows problem, but how to solve?
Hello, be sure to connect the Passport directly to the PC and avoid using extension USB cables or USB hubs. Also check if you can add the drive letter manually. Check the link below for the steps.
