WD Passport access denied after plugging it in a Smart TV

Hey everyone, I’m having a weird problem, I have a WD Passport 1TB, working flawlessly until I plugged it to a Samsung SmartTV in order to read the files, now when I want to connect it back to the pc it says access denied and it doesn’t even let me set the permissions, what could possibly have happened? is there any way to access it? I’m using an admin account.

Nevermind, after a long process I’ve managed to add ownership of my user, seems the smart tv did something to the drive, or added some file that changed something, then the pc wouldn’t let me access it, but I managed to set ownership of the drive adding a new user and the group of administrators. I hope I won’t have this problem again in the future

I have the exact same problem but as I’m not that familiar with this kind of trouble … can you please give me a bit more details about the way that I should go thru to set back my ownership and solve this issue?!?

right-click on the drive, then properties, you should have a security tab, then click advanced, you’ll see a new panel with the current owner, and a link next to that to change it, from there you need to write your username in the box, and I believe you should be able to switch the owner
