I am using DELL Lap Top with Windows 10 Version.
I have been using the WD My Passport Ultra to back up the documents and details from my Lap Top successfully for the past 1 year +
However to my surprise today I am unable to open the files on the Hard Drive and I get the following new pop up window
H:\ in not accessible.
Acess is denied
I am the sole user of this PC and with admin rights… I have NO PASSWORD on External Hard Drive
Can you please help ?
Thanks & Best Regards,
Yogesh

Hello, have you tried connecting the drive on a different computer? You could also attempt to take ownership of the drive and see if this work.

This will be different con Windows 10, but it will be almost the same process.
Another question, did this computer upgraded to Windows 10 or was it a clean install?
Hello,
Thanks for your reply… the problem was due to Antivirus software and the
company IT person resolved the same.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Best regards,

Not a problem, glad to see that you were able to fix the issue.
I’ve this exact same problem.
My Passport Ultra 2TB doesn’t work on my Dell Latitude 6430, which has Windows 10 upgraded from 8.1
my windows 10 version is 1607 (build 14393)
however this works on my daughter’s Dell Latitude 3150, which has Windows 10 version 1507
is there a fix for this problem on my laptop?
just wondering if this is being monitored by anyone from WD?
I have the same problem. Since I updated to windows version 1607 . The drive works on all platforms except the latest version 1607. Changing the assigned Letter , or ownership does not help either.
WD staff , an answer is really appreciated.
