I have 4 external drives WD My Passport Pro 2TB using RAID1 (mirror) system. I don’t have any problems … yet 
Let me explain, normally when we have RAID1 we have two disks with the same information (data). I know that the device has two separate disk drives. With RAID1 setup I suppose I have a clean copy (mirror) in each one.
My main question is if one drive fails I have a clean data or encrypt data copy on the other disk ? If is encrypt how we recover the data on the good disk available?
Note: I ask this because I have read in one forum, some time ago, that one guy has that problem (one drive fails) and then tried to access the other drive the data was encrypt. I am trying to find the link to add it here.
