I purchased the WD My Book Pro back in June and so far ive had nothing but issues with it.
Right off the bat after transferring 4tb of content to the drives, bay 2 decided to rebuild itself. This wasn’t such an issue, but throughout the week it did it multiple times. I figured this could be a drive issue, so I purchased two WD red 8tb drives. After making some more transfers onto those drives, slot #2 did the exact same thing once again! After rebuilding, it usually holds for a few days, but i’m never sure when or if it’ll decide to rebuild.
my company also bought a my book pro with 8TBx2. I confirgure a raid1 and for the first day it work. But after power down the PC it always want to rebuild the drives. I tested each single drive for errors, but they are okay. Direct after rebuild both drives become red (and the power button, too), the drive is not accesable. I had to do a hard power off (which end in a new rebuild - which is logical).
If this stay as it is, I will return the drive. What is currently your result?
