WD My book essential mod WDBAAF0010HBK: can't see partition

Good evening, i have this external hard disk mod WDBAAF0010HBK. If I plug it into my pc in Computer appear only a disc unit named “Wd SmartWare” and if i launch it ask me to set the unit and then tell me that he can’t find a writable partition WD SmartWare in the My Boot essential unit.

I just tried to use WDFirmwareUpdater and it says that firmware is just updated. 

WD Quick Formatter says that can’t format the unit.

Also tried with Western digital data lifeguard diagnostic, nothing to do! It says: “Cable test: Read diagnostics sector error!” 

Please help me, what can I do?

Make sure the drive is not locked

connect the drive to the rear USB port and a wall outlet

go to computer and look for a 1TB drive with no name or untitled1

maybe the drive was erased and the name will not show

I can’t se anything in the disk unit section. Only under removable i see wd smartware but as disc unit of 442 mb!

I also tried to launch “unlock.exe” from disc but it says that disc is not locked!
