My WD 3TB hard drive is recognized as the I: drive in Windows 7 but I keep getting prompted to reformat the disc and it’s not showing any data on the disk. The LED light blinks and it does make some noise. Also, using Computer Management, it shows as being healthy. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It is possible the partition is corrupted. That’s why is asking you to format it.
You may try to recover the data using a data recovery software then try formatting the drive so you can use it again.
