I have three drives (My Passport 500 Gbytes, My passport Ultra 1 Tbytes and a My Book) which I purchased individually over the past few years. I have attempted to use all of the software applications while having one of the three devices attached at various times and each of the applications indicate either no device attached or attach the approved device.
Windows Explorer shows each of the drives when connected. I can view folders, files and have full control so the (*) operating system does recognize the drive as being attached.

Why am I unable to get the WD applications to work properly? I made sure that all of the applications are the latest versions as downloaded from the WD site for each product. This is very frustrating to say the least.
I have not created a My Cloud account so to help with troubleshooting, not sure if this may be a cause but thought each utility should look at the drive attached.
