WD Drive Utilities Checks 4TB In Only 15-20 Minutes?

Anyone know if the WD Drive Utilities on Mac (OS X 12.11) is actually testing the complete drive in 15 or 20 minutes? I think this is not testing the entire drive. When using WD diags on Windows on a 4TB drive, it takes several hours.
