WD drive light just blinks once then nothing

Any ideas what that might mean?  It just blinks for a split second and that’s all.  No sound from the drive.

I was using it a couple of weeks back and took it away with me, but didn’t use it.  Not aware that it was dropped or anything.

It has got some data that I’m keen to get off it, any tips on how to proceed?

It sound like a power issue…  try the unit with a different cable and a different computer, will be better on the back USB ports of a desktop computer.
