WD Anywhere Backup How to get the software to forget a backup plan

The software is reporting that it has filled the drive.

There is only one backup plan. However the software is remembering a previous backup plan because if I look at the backup plan folders  more than one is being updated. How do I get the software to stop copying to the previous backup plan if the previous backup plan does not show in the menu?

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the application?

I had called in the WD support. It was suggested that I could get rid of backup problem by deleting both the old backup folder that did not show in the menu and the new backup folder using Windows exporter. I did delete both folders. However the new backup still appeared in the menu and the WD Anyway Backup continued to run and scanned repeatly. I did try rebooting. This did not seem to help.

I tried your suggestion by exiting the program, then uninstall and reisntall. This did elimiate the new backup but now I had a WD_backup that I did not want and I was back to how do I get rid of a backup. The problem with the name WD_backup is that there is no way to differentiate between two computer.

I find that to delete the backup plan I need to select the third button from the left (Remove backup plan) in WD_Backup that was running and then delete the folder on the external hard drive. However, now i do not know what fixed the back up to both the old back up and the new back up.

Glad to know you were able to get rid of the unwanted backup plan.

Now you can just  create a new backup plan.
