i wanna use my 8tb mybook drive on winxp but the drive wont come up on it,says i need drivers for the drive,where are the drivers on here?
Windows XP does not support GUID partition tables, for drives larger than 2TB (Terabytes).
Try using WD Quick Formatter utility and select the XP Compatibility check box.
If that does not work … then time to upgrade your OS to one that supports GPT (GUID Partition Table) for Large (over 2TB) hard drives.
