Wd 1tb strange noise help

I have had my 1TB portable hardrive for 6 months now. Has worked perfectly fine until I plugged in into my macbook and it made the whole laptop crash, so I pulled out the hardrive and restarted the computer, when I plugged it back in, the laptop wasnt recognising the harddrive and it started making strange noises

Please help! is there any way I can fix this or retreive the data?

If it’s not possible to test the hard drive, you may need to contact a data recovery company if you need to recover your data.
