Are the power specs on these chargers acceptable (using your own USB cord, of course)?

Yes, that’s more than sufficient. A standard PC/Mac USB port outputs 5V at 0.5A, maximum. Higher amperage won’t hurt (connected devices will only draw as much current as needed), and will even shorten charging time if the device can draw more than .5A.
But they’re sold out now.
