I just bought the WD Essential & I would like to know if you have to use the Firmware that comes with it? I know there must be benifits to using it, but I want to be able to see what I have on the HD, like a folder I have created, I work with a lot of photo’s & I might want to go into the folder & pull out a few to work on. I also like being able to right click on the drive & explore all of what’s in it, can you do that if you are using the firmware? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
